Goodbye Academia…

…Well, not really. But for now, dissertation proposals and lecture quizzes are out of the way. I love how ‘quiz’ makes it sound like it’s a load of fun – when in actuality, it’s one big mind game. Honestly, one of the most unique approaches to teaching I’ve ever experienced – but that’s a whole other story!

It’s kinda unbelievable how well I’m doing this year, I’ve come leaps and bounds from being a fresher. This time last year I was completely distressed predicting a failure of the course on my part. It’s a total contrast now. I feel perfectly at ease, knowing I’ve averaged 60% on everything so far to do with the writing/testing side of my degree this year. Probably doesn’t sound amazing to some people but for me I am extremely happy and for now it’s back to concentrating on my studio practice.

There’s less than 2 weeks left until hand-in and then that’s me done with uni until after summer. It’s quite scary how fast time is flying by, I’ve been trying to involve myself in as many things as possible and in turn I think I’ve well and truly worn myself down. I’ve slowed the pace tonight and gonna pick it back up tomorrow but I’m feeling good  minus exhaustion. Work load isn’t too unrealistic right now, I like to think I’ve kept on top of it but there’s still a way to go yet. Be back with an update soon, for now… Deuces.

PS. sorry I’m crap with the photo updates lately, so here’s a horribly LQ photo of the poster spurring me on, haha.
